מכתב מנתן בן נהראי מאלכסנדריה אל נהראי בן נסים בפוסטאט. תיארוך: בערך 1063. נתן כתב את המכתב עשרה ימים לפני חג הפסח. הכותב מודאג ומאוכזב משום שעסקה (כנראה בתבלינים וחרוזים) לא יצאה אל הפועל כמצופה, והוא מאשים בכך את אבו זכרי בן מנשה. כמו כן נזכר במכתב עניין של ירושה במשפחת אלתאהרתי. החל משורה 11 בצד ההפוך כותב נתן: "דע, אדוני, כי נותרה בעינו של בני, ישמרהו האל בחיים, נקודה לבנה המכסה את חצי האישון (או: את אמצעו). רק האלוהים יודע מה שבליבי בשל כך. זוהי שארית מחלת האבעבועות השחורות (והו באקי אלג'דרי). הומלץ לנו על תותיא הודית טבאשירית (תותיא הדומה לגיר במבוק?). אולי תוכל להשיג עבורנו מעט מזה. הייתי רוצה שתברר על כך בשמי, אולי רבע מת'קאל, כמה זה יעלה (או: [קנה זאת] בכל מחיר)". המידע מבוסס על גיל, ממלכה, כרך 3, מס' 426.

Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Natan b. Nahray, from Alexandria, to Nahray b. Nissim, Fustat. Dating: ca. 1063. Natan wrote the letter 10 days before Passover. The writer is upset because a deal (probably for spices and beads) did not go as expected. He blames Abū Zikrī b. Menashshe. Also mentions a matter of inheritance in the Tāhartī family. Beginning in verso, l. 11, he writes, "Know, my lord, that there remains in the eye of my son, may God keep him alive, a white spot covering half of (or: in the middle of) the pupil. Only God knows what is in my heart due to this. This is the remnant of the smallpox (wa-huwa bāqī al-judarī).They have prescribed for us Indian ṭabāshīrī tutty (tutty resembling bamboo chalk?). Perhaps you will be able to obtain some for us. I would like you to inquire about it on my behalf, perhaps a quarter mithqāl, how much it would cost (or: [buy it] no matter how much it costs).
