רשומת בית דין. מקום: פוסטאט. תאריך: אלול 1350 למניין השטרות = אוגוסט/ספטמבר 1039 לסה"נ. בנינה בת אברהם, תושבת אלכסנדריה שננטשה על ידי בעלה יוסף, מינתה את אחיה שלמה לבא־כוחה. האח, בליווי שני עדים להסדר זה (עמאר בן צומח ונחיים בן מימון), הופיע בפני בית דינו של אפרים בן שמריה בפוסטאט, ושם אושר ייפוי הכוח. האח מצדו מינה חזן וסופר בית הדין (מוהוב בן שלום, הידוע בשם אבן סלים) לנציגה הקבוע של אחותו. צד הוורסו ריק. Princeton Geniza Project description: Court record. Location: Fustat. Dated: Elul 1350 Seleucid = August/September 1039 CE. Banīna bt. Avraham in Alexandria, who had been deserted by her husband Yosef, appointed her brother Shelomo as her attorney. Accompanied by two witnesses (ʿAmmār b. Ṣomeaḥ and Nuḥaym b. Maymūn) to this arrangement, the brother appeared before Efrayim b. Shemarya’s court in Fustat, where the power of attorney was ratified. The brother appointed a cantor and clerk of the court (Mawhūb b. Shalom known as Ibn Salīm) as his sister’s permanent representative. Verso is blank.
