מכתב מנהראי בן נסים, מפוסטאט, אל עיאש בן צדקה אלמע'רבי, בירושלים. תיארוך: בקירוב 1067 לסה"נ, על פי הערכת גיל המסתמכת על מכתב אחר שמוזכר בו, שנכתב בידי יוסף בן עלי הכהן, ואשר גיל מניח שזהותו ידועה, ואותו מתארך גיל בקירוב לשנת 1067 (אם כי עם ביסוס מעט יותר מוצק על צירוף התאריך העברי י"ג בחשוון עם חג העיד המוסלמי בשנים 1066–1068 לערך). המכתב הנוכחי מציין שנכתב למחרת יום הכיפורים. מוזכרים בו תפיסת ספינה בידי אלרום (הביזנטים) וקשיים סביב קבלה (כנראה של מס): "אני כותב לך בעניין זה כדי שאם יתעורר ויכוח, הוא לא יתחמק ממתן מענה ולא ישתוק במגעיו עמי. כיצד אוכל לשלם את הדינרים אם הקבלה אינה מגיעה אליי, או אם תאבד בדרך? אם תגיע הקבלה כפי שסיכמנו, אשלם" (רקטו, שוליים עליונים, שורות 7–14). מלבד זאת, המכתב מורכב ברובו מדברי שלום, ברכות לחג והתחשבנות על תכתובת קודמת; בתחתית הרקטו מוזכר מחיר החיטה, אך הקטע משובש והמחיר עצמו לא השתמר. המהדורה היא ברובה של משה גיל, עם תיקונים קלים בידי עמל בנסלים, יעקב דוויק, מרינה רוסטו ויוסוף אומרת'ואלא. לפי דיווח אחד, ברקטו מופיעה גם רשימה כלשהי, אך היא דהויה וקשה לקריאה.

Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Nahray b. Nissim, Fustat, to ʿAyyāsh b. Ṣedaqa al-Maḡribī, Jerusalem. Dating: ca. 1067 CE, Gil's estimate based on another letter that it mentions, written by Yosef b. ʿElī ha-Kohen, which Gil *assumes* is NLI 577.3.2, which Gil in turn *estimates* as dating to 1067 (though with slightly more justification based on the confluence of the Jewish date 13 Ḥeshvan and the Islamic ʿīd in ca. 1066–68). This letter says it was written on the day after Yom Kippur. Mentions the taking of a ship by al-Rūm (the Byzantines) and trouble with a (tax?) receipt: "I'm writing to you about this so that if an argument ensues, he won't avoid answering and his communication go silent. How am I supposed to pay the dinars if the receipt doesn't reach me and if it gets lost on the way? If the receipt reaches me as we had agreed, then I will pay" (recto, top margin, lines 7–14). Apart from that, consists mostly of greetings, holiday blessings and accounting for previous correspondence; mentions the price of wheat at the bottom of recto, but the passage is lacunose and the price itself isn't preserved. The edition here is mostly by Moshe Gil, with minor emendations by Amel Bensalim, Yaacob Dweck, Marina Rustow and Yusuf Umrethwala. According to CUDL, there's a list on recto, but it's faded and difficult to read. MR
