מכתב מסעדאן בן ת'אבת אלבע'דאדי מטריפולי אל עמית בקהיר, ובו הוא מבקש ממנו לדאוג לבנו ששלח לחו"ל לפי בקשת הבן עצמו, וללמדו את ענייני המסחר. הכתובת בצד האחורי מציינת את השמות: אבו אלאפראח׳ ער[וס] בן יוסף ויעקב בן נסים. המכתב מתוארך לערך לשנת 1130. לפי גויטיין, המכתב כולל מידע על שליחת בן צעיר לחו"ל ועל ההשתלמות במסחר תחת חסותו של איש קשר אמין.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Sa'dan b. Thabit al-Baghdadi from Tripoli to a colleague in Cairo asking him to take care of his son, whom he had sent abroad at the son's request, and to instruct him in commercial matters.
