עצומה מהתקופה הפאטמית מאת מבקש ששכר מן המדינה מטע דקלים ובו חמישים עצי דקל בנפת אלבהנסא, בשותפות עם סוחר תמרים נוצרי. בחוזה מסוג קבאלה בלא מסאחה (חכירה ללא מדידה) על אדמות מדינה, מקובל היה ששוכרים אחדים חוכרים את הקרקע במשותף (ראו בונדיולי 2020 ו-P.Fay.Villages 43). חמישים עצי דקל הם מטע גדול למדי. ככל הנראה פקיד מקומי כלשהו מציק להם — או מונע מהם גישה לקרקע או דורש מהם תשלום העולה על דמי השכירות הנדרשים. העצומה מבקשת שכל פקיד באזור ייודע על זכויותיהם של המבקשים באמצעות "הוצאת צו רם מעלה ... אל המתולי אלחרב (המפקד הצבאי)" וכן אל "המשגיחים (משארפין) והממונים (מסתח'דמין) ושאר השליטים, הסגנים והפקידים (מתצרפין)". ההחלטה (רסקריפט) הרשומה בצד האחורי נענית לבקשת המבקש להגנה על זכויותיו, אך קובעת כי עליו לעמוד תחילה בחובות השכירות שלו לאוצר המדינה ("לאחר השלמת המגיע לדיואן מתורת בקט"). התשלום המגיע על קרקעות בבעלות המדינה מכונה בקט, ולפי בונדיולי זוהי העדות המאוחרת ביותר הידועה לשימוש במונח זה בהקשר של מינהל חקלאי.

Princeton Geniza Project description: Fatimid petition from a petitioner who has rented from the state a palm grove with fifty palms in the province of al-Bahnasā in partnership with a Christian palm-date dealer. In a qabāla bi-la misāḥa contract on state land, it is normal to have multiple people leasing jointly: see Bondioli 2020 and P.Fay.Villages 43. Fifty palms is a significant-sized grove. Apparently some local official is giving them trouble, either obstructing them from accessing the land or demanding of them more than the required rent. The petition asks that every official in the area be informed of their rights by "issuing a lofty decree ... to the mutawallī al-ḥarb (military commander)" and "the supervisors (mushārifīn) and appointees (mustakhdamīn) and the rest of the governors and deputies and officials (mutaṣarrafīn)." The rescript on verso grants the petitioner’s request for protection of his rights, but specifies that he must first fulfill his rent obligations to the government treasury ("after completion of what is due to the dīwān by way of baqṭ”). The payment due on state-owned land is called baqṭ, and according to Bondioli, this is the latest known attestation of the word in the context of agrarian administration.
