Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter sent from the mother of Abū l-ʿIzz (Alexandria) to her son Abū l-ʿIzz b. Bishr in the shop of Abū l-Riḍā ibn al-Lebdi (Fustat). She asks Abū l-ʿIzz to send silk and to obtain a fatwa from the Rayyis to assist in an ongoing court case. She asks whether she ought to sell the mirwad (a pencil for applying kohl to the eyes) and, if so, for how much.
