מכתב מאת יוסף בן יעקב בן יהבוי, ככל הנראה מקירואן, אל נמען לא ידוע בפוסטאט. התיארוך הוא בערך 1045 לפי גיל. הכותב עוסק בסידור ענייניו של סוחר שנפטר בשם אבו עמראן מוסא בן נתנאל, ומנסה לגבות כספים המגיעים לו. במכתב מוזכרות הערים צפאקס (ספאקס) ואלמהדיה שבתוניסיה, וכן אלכסנדריה, פוסטאט ואשמונין שבמצרים. נזכרים שמות רבים: אבו עמראן מוסא בן יצחק, אבן אלקמודי, נהראי בן נסים, אבו נצר דאוד (שאמור לשמש עד יחד עם הנמען), אבו אלסרור יושע בן נתן (שמונה על ידי השולח כשליחו/וכילו), ואבו אלפרג' בן עלאן (שמתבקש לתת סֻפְתַּגַ'ה על נכסיו באלאשמונין ולאפשר לנציגיו שם, בני אלברדאני, לגבות).

Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Yosef b. Yaʿaqov b. Yahboy, probably in Qayrawān, to an unknown addressee, in Fustat. Dating: ca. 1045 according to Gil. The writer is sorting out the affairs of a deceased trader named Abū ʿImrān Mūsā b. Netanʾel, and trying to recover money owed to him. The letter refers to the towns of Ṣafāqis (Sfax) and al-Mahdiyya in Tunisia; and Alexandria, Fusṭāṭ, and Ashmūnayn in Egypt. Many names are mentioned: Abū ʿImrān Mūsā b. Yiṣḥaq, Ibn al-Qumuddī, Nahray b. Nissim, Abū Naṣr Dāʾūd who is to serve as a witness along with the addressee), Abū l-Surūr Yūshaʿ b. Natan (appointed by the sender as his agent/wakīl), and Abū l-Faraj b. ʿAllān (who is asked to give a suftaja on his assets in al-Ushmūnayn and to let his representatives there, the Banī l-Baradānī, collect).
