מכתב מסחרי בערבית-יהודית. תיארוך: סביבות 1100 לספירה (לפי הערכותיהם של גויטיין ופרנקל). אין כתובת נמען. נשלח אל "אח". כפי הנראה נשלח מפוסטאט לאלכסנדריה (אם כי לא לגמרי ברור כיצד קבעו גויטיין ופרנקל שהנמען נמצא באלכסנדריה). השולח מביע את מורת רוחו על כך שהנמען לא העמיד לרשות השליח די כספים לתשלום דמי המכס על הסחורות שנשלחו. הוא מוסר פרטים רבים על הטיפול בסחורות בנמל ובבית המכס (צנאעה) בפוסטאט. בין הסחורות הנזכרות: כוחל, פואה (פווה), חריע (עצפר), פלפל, מסטיק ומחלב. בין האנשים הנזכרים: בנימין; "כל הסוחרים"; מוסלם; נער פוזל (צביّ אחול); אלמע'רבי; ואבן שכניה. כמו כן נזכרת מכירה פומבית בדאר אבן נאג'יה. Princeton Geniza Project description: Commercial letter in Judaeo-Arabic. Dating: ca. 1100 CE (Goitein's and Frenkel's estimate). No address. Sent to a "brother." Probably sent from Fustat to Alexandria (though it's not entirely clear how Goitein and Frenkel determined that the addressee is in Alexandria). The sender conveys his irritation that the addressee had not provided sufficient funds for a courier to pay the customs fees for the goods delivered. He provides many details about the processing of commodities at the port and customs house (ṣināʿa) in Fustat. Commodities mentioned: kohl, madder (fuwwa), safflower (ʿuṣfur), pepper, mastic, and maḥlab. People mentioned: Binyām; "all the merchants"; Muslim; a young man with a squint (ṣabiyy aḥwal); al-Maghribī; and Ibn Shekhanya. Also mentions an auction at Dār Ibn Nājiya.
