קטע ממכתב ששלח יוסף בן דוד לבדי אל אבו עלי חסן בן בנדאר, נציג הסוחרים בעדן, בכתב ידו של הלל בן עלי (פעיל בין השנים 1066–1108). המכתב עוסק בהתדיינות המשפטית המתמשכת בין יוסף לבדי לבין יקותיאל (הנזכר בשמו ברקטו). בעבר המסמך מופיע מעין סיכום של תוכן המכתב, ועובדה זו מרמזת שמדובר בטיוטה שנשמרה בתיק המשפטי שבפוסטאט. פרידמן מציע שהאמירה בשורה 3, "שלחו איתי", מלמדת שלבדי נשא עמו סחורות שנשלחו על ידי לפחות סוחר אחד נוסף מלבד יקותיאל. בקטע המצורף מופיע בשורה הראשונה הצירוף "מן דהלכ" ("מדהלכ"). הצירופים זוהו על ידי אלן אלבאום. המהדורה שלהלן מתייחסת לקטע אחד בלבד.
Princeton Geniza Project description: IB I, 13a. Letter fragment from Yosef b. David Lebdi to Abū ʿAlī Ḥasan b. Bundār, the representative of the merchants in Aden, written in the hand of Hillel b. Eli (fl. 1066–1108 CE). The letter deals with the ongoing litigation between Yosef Lebdi and Yequtiʾel (named on recto). The verso contains a sort of summary of the content of the letter. This suggests that this fragment was a draft copy kept in the dossier in Fustat. Friedman proposes that the statement in line 3, 'they sent with me,' suggests that Lebdi carried with him goods sent by at least one other merchants besides Yequtiʾel. The join (T-S AS 153.160) includes the phrase "from Dahlak" in the first line. Joins: Alan Elbaum. Edition below is for JRL SERIES B 6028 only.
